Drone pilots must follow rules in The canadian aviation regulations (cars). Drone pilots must follow rules in canadian aviation regulations (cars)
part ix (remotely piloted aircraft systems) contains most of rules that apply to drones
you should read these regulations in full before you fly your drone the first time
drone pilots must carry a valid drone pilot certificate only fly drones that are marked registered.
Question 3-7 Aeronautics act the following sentence 'the pilot having responsibility and authority the operation and safety of aircraft during flight time' refers to definition of The canadian aviation regulations (cars).
Question 3-8 When an aircraft approaching head on or approximately so of your drone and there danger of collision you shall Alter heading to right. Drone pilots must follow rules in canadian aviation regulations (cars)

you should read these regulations in full before you fly your drone the first time
drone pilots must carry a valid drone pilot certificate only fly drones that are marked registered.
Question 3-9 To fly your drone beyond visual line of sight You must have a sfoc (special flight operations certificate). Operations during which rpas (the 'drone') operated beyond visual line of sight (bvlos) require a special flight operations certificate (sfoc).
Question 3-10 To hand over their responsibilities to another pilot during flight It not necessary to hold a special flight operations certificate (sfoc). 901 42 handovers
no pilot shall hand over their responsibilities to another pilot during flight unless before take off or launch of a remotely piloted aircraft
(a) a pre arrangement in respect of handover has been made between pilots and
(b) a procedure has been developed to mitigate risk of loss of control of aircraft.
Question 3-11 In case of an autonomous remotely piloted aircraft system what must pilot be able to do Take immediate control of aircraft at any time. 901 32 control of remotely piloted aircraft systems
no pilot shall operate an autonomous remotely piloted aircraft system or any other remotely piloted aircraft system which they are unable to take immediate control of aircraft.
Question 3-12 What the maximum time limit reporting an aviation accident to transport canada There no time limit prescribed in cars 9 49. An accident not reported to transport canada but to tsb (transportation safety board) cars 901 49 requires that operations be stopped immediately in event of an accident but does not mention reporting accident
901 49 incidents accidents associated measures
(1) a pilot that operates a remotely piloted aircraft system shall immediately cease operations if any of following incidents or accidents occurs until such time as an analysis undertaken as to cause of occurrence corrective actions have been taken to mitigate risk of recurrence
(a) injuries to any person requiring medical attention
(b) unintended contact between aircraft persons
(c) unanticipated damage incurred to airframe control station payload or command control links that adversely affects performance or flight characteristics of aircraft
(d) any time aircraft not kept within horizontal boundaries or altitude limits
(e) any collision with or risk of collision with another aircraft
(f) any time aircraft becomes uncontrollable experiences a fly away or missing and
(g) any incident not referred to in paragraphs (a) to (f) which a police report has been filed or which a civil aviation daily occurrence report has resulted
(2) the pilot of remotely piloted aircraft system shall keep make available to minister on request a record of any analyses undertaken under subsection (1) a period of 12 months after day on which record created.

Question 3-14 Canadian aviation regulations rac all drones that weigh between 250 g and 25 kg Must be registered with transport canada. All drones or remotely piloted aircraft systems (rpas) with a maximum takeoff weight of 250 grams (g) up to including 25 kilograms (kg) must be registered drones under 250 g do not need to be registered drones over 25 kg also do not need to be registered but require a special flight operations certificate instead benefits of registration if you lose your drone registration may help in returning it to you if it found if there a recall from manufacturer transports canada will be able to notify you.
Question 3-15 Division i general provisions 900 01 interpretation 'a system an object or a collection of objects that on board or otherwise connected to a remotely piloted aircraft but that not required flight' is/are defined as Must be registered with transport canada. 900 01 interpretation
the following definitions apply in part ix remotely piloted aircraft systems of canadian aviation regulations
autonomous means in respect of a remotely piloted aircraft system that system not designed to allow pilot intervention in management of a flight
command control link means data link between a remotely piloted aircraft a control station that used in management of a flight
control station means facilities or equipment that are remote from a remotely piloted aircraft from which aircraft controlled monitored
detect avoid functions means capability to see sense or detect conflicting air traffic or other hazards take appropriate action
first person view device means a device that generates transmits a streaming video image to a control station display or monitor giving pilot of a remotely piloted aircraft illusion of flying aircraft from an on board pilot's perspective
flight termination system means a system that on activation terminates flight of a remotely piloted aircraft
fly away means in respect of a remotely piloted aircraft an interruption or loss of command control link such that pilot no longer able to control aircraft the aircraft no longer follows its preprogrammed procedures or operates in a predictable or planned manner
mandatory action means inspection repair or modification of a remotely piloted aircraft system that manufacturer of system considers necessary to prevent an unsafe or potentially unsafe condition
payload means a system an object or a collection of objects that on board or otherwise connected to a remotely piloted aircraft but that not required flight
visual line of sight or vlos means unaided visual contact at all times with a remotely piloted aircraft that sufficient to be able to maintain control of aircraft know its location be able to scan airspace in which it operating in order to perform detect avoid functions in respect of other aircraft or objects
visual observer means a trained crew member who assists pilot in ensuring safe conduct of a flight under visual line of sight.
